MI- Machining Engineer Coordinator

Work Schedule:            1st shift: 6:30am- 3:00pm                                     Positions Supervised:                        Machining Engineers

                               

POSITION SUMMARY

Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, production, research, and development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·Confer with management and production to discuss project specifications and procedures. 

·Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. 

·Analyze technology and resource needs to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.                                             

·Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

·Assign, direct, and evaluate Associate work and oversee the development of staff competence. 

·Prepare production improvement budgets and direct the negotiation of technical specifications.

·Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.

·Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.

·Review and recommend or approve cost estimates.

·Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to management and subordinates. 

·Set technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.

 ·Recommend personal action such as hiring, promotion and disciplinary action.       

·Achieve company and department business plans for Health and Safety Goals

 

 Education


    Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or technical school) or related experience
    Experience
    Three to seven years related experience
